The West Cumberland Sunday League resumed after the seasonal break – but was blighted by postponements.
Frozen pitches from a dip in temperature meant that only three games survived ion the first new year programme.
The tightest contest saw Thornhill eventually pick up the points with a 2-0 home win over the Sun with goals from Aiden Kegg and Owen Bell.
Seaton were 5-2 winners against Swan as Guy Richardson (2), Johnny Cashman, Jonny Walton and Ryan Lee scored for the hosts. Iestyn Hughes and an own goal made up the Swan’s reply.
The most convincing winners were Egremont Cosmos who were successful 9-1 at Moresby where there were hat-tricks for Alan Cardy and Lewis Park. Rhys Singleton contributed a brace with Dylan Elsworth also on target.
James Bell scored Moresby’s consolation goal.
