
A manhunt has been launched for a Cumbrian man wanted in connection with an attempted murder in North Yorkshire.
Jack Crawley, 19, is from the Carlisle area and is wanted in connection with the incident in a village near York, on Friday January 5.
Police are urging him to contact his family or the police.
They say he may be travelling around other parts of the country and are asking people not to approach him if they see him.
Crawley is described as white, 6ft 3in, of proportionate build with very short hair and short facial hair.
Officers are encouraging him to call 999 and speak to them, or get in touch with his family who are worried about him.
Anyone who believes they have seen him or has any information about his location should contact police.
Anyone who sees him should not confront him but dial 999 as soon as it is safe to do so.
