Barrow have appointed a new first team performance analyst following the departure of Lewis Dunwoody to join Huddersfield Town.
Robbie Barrow joins the Bluebirds from National League side AFC Fylde where he spent the previous two seasons in the Performance Analysis department.
He has had a wide range of experience in the game having spent time at Fleetwood Town and Chorley FC. He also holds a masters degree in performance analysis & talent management.
Dunwoody, the previous Head of Performance and Analyst and Data left Barrow at the weekend to join Championship side Huddersfield Town after three years with the Bluebirds.
Speaking about his appointment, the new man said: “I’m very excited to join Barrow, it feels like it’s been a long process since I was offered the job and finally getting started, but this has made me even more eager to get going, and kick on.
“Lewis has done an excellent job here in the Analysis department over the past few years and I can’t wait to carry on developing this area of the football club and push us on even further.
“I’ve now been in the building the past fortnight learning under Lewis and it’s been a really enjoyable experience so far. The lads and all the staff have been class with me, and have made me feel at home already.
“When I saw the job advertised, it was a no-brainer for me to apply for it because the club has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years both on and off the pitch and I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for this great football club.”
