Former Carlisle professional Justin Greaves is battling to win the Second Test with West Indies against Australia in Brisbane.
At the end of the third day Australia were 60-2 and need 156 more to take a 2-0 lead in the five match series.
Greaves, who played for Carlisle in 2015 and 2017, had leading batsman Manus Labuschagne caught for five as he took 1-23 in a seven over spell.
Earlier in the West Indies second innings Greaves made his best score so far in Test cricket with 33 before being caught behind by Alex Carey off Josh Hazlewood.
The 29-year-old Barbadian won his first cap (number 335 given out) in the opening Test last week when he made five and then 24 as Australia won convincingly by ten wickets.
He made contributions elsewhere, though after catching Steve Smith in Australia’s first innings and then took the wickets of Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey, while also taking a second catch to dismiss Mitchell Marsh. He had figures of 2-36.
Greaves was a successful and popular pro at Edenside during his two years with the Carlisle club.
