Penrith’s long winning run at home ended with a 1-1 draw against Crook Town.
The Bonnyblues had to come from a goal behind to earn the point, and not for the first time, played best against the wind.
Manager Darren Edmondson said: “In some ways a draw was a fair result but in others I’m a bit gutted that we didn’t keep our winning run going.
“They scored with what proved to be their only shot on target in the whole game.
“We weren’t our normal selves passing the ball and the absence of five players who have played parts in our good run at home were missing, which probably affected us.
“But in the second-half we were a lot better, looking particularly dangerous on the counter into the wind. We created enough chances to win the game but our final ball was often poor.
“We are looking forward to the County Cup game with Carlisle United at home on Tuesday. Our three players on loan from Workington will obviously be Cup-tied so we will have to look at the squad’s availability ahead of that one.”
Ben Trotter put Crook ahead on 15 minutes and Ronan Irving levelled after 33 minutes.
