The Sunday County Cup second round takes centre stage this weekend with eight ties taking place – four in the east, and another four in the west.
Inter Pirelli have dominated the competition in recent years, winning the last four finals, and will be fancying their chances of adding another notch to their belts.
They travel to Dalston on Sunday for their latest tie, having already seen off FC Houghton in the previous round 13-0.
Scotby have been beaten in the last two finals and they will no doubt be hoping for third time lucky – if they can get there again.
On Sunday they are at home to Newlaithes having beaten Dalston Black Reds 4-1 in the last round, but had to work hard in the preliminary round to beat Currock 3-2
The other two East ties are – Jovial Sailor v Harraby Catholic and Beehive Utd St Nicholas Arms v Denton Holme.
In the west, there are four interesting ties, headed by First Division leaders Sun Inn at home to Premier Division title chasers Northside.
Parkside, the current Premier Division leaders, have a Copeland derby at Moresby Rangers; in-form FC Cosmos are at home to Dearham Commercial while Premier Division Deer Orchard are at home to First Division FC Butcher’s.
