In Division One of the Carlisle and District Snooker League Qzone maintained their lead at the top with a 4-1 win over third-placed The Rock.

Two matches stood out with Paul Wright potting the final two reds with blacks and all the colours to beat Mally Lancaster.

The Rock’s only win came from Paul Cowing, who beat Giles Finegan 80-0 in a tactical battle that saw Paul come out on top with a 43pt break when already over 30pts in front.

Other results: Ex C 3 – 2  SECC A; Inter Qzone 4 – 1 DH QZone; RAOB A 1 – 4 Longtown; The Rock A 2 – 3 Annan Blue Bell.

In Division Two SECC C continued their march to the league title with a victory at home to Qzone Originals by four frames to one.

Raymond Swailes, Adrian Shaw, Suart Roberts and Dene O’Neil all had comfortable wins, whilst Matt Lowrie picked up Qzone’s only point of the night.

Other results: Conservative Club 2 – 3 RAOB B; SECC 2 – 3 Ex B; SECC C 4 – 1 QZone Originals.
