Carlisle United’s London Branch have spread their wings and have formed a SW Group of fans.

In addition to local activities, the members of the new group will be entitled to all the normal benefits of being a member of the London Branch.

These include ticket priority for major games (after season ticket holders), 10% discount in the Blues Store, ticket purchase scheme for away games, pre-match meeting pubs, enewsletter, Hit The Bar! fanzine, 40 club with great club prizes, online and pre-match events, annual summer trip and weekends away, and fundraising for projects to benefit young fans and players.

Kris Foster is the SW regional organiser and he joined London Branch vice chair, John Bowman to host a meeting with United boss Paul Simpson at a recent Carlisle away game.

Kris said: “It was great to see so many local fans at the event and augurs well for our new group. We are looking to offer travelling options, socials and communication to make the most of our location.”

The United manager attended and was given a standing ovation after speaking about a variety of topics. They included the slump in form and the reasons; the demands of League 1, the difficulties of the summer recruitment, the quality of January’s recruits and the ones that didn’t happen, the effect and possible reasons for injuries.

Simmo was accompanied by the club media team, Amy Nixon and James Gates.
