The Ben Fund Bonanza meeting planned for Workington’s Northside track has been put back again.
An early call on postponing today’s event was followed by news it would be run next Sunday, March 24.
However that has now been changed due to commitments abroad which meant the majority of riders would have been unavailable.
A date will be found later in the season and the Ben Fund trustees explained: “We want the field to be the best we can get, which it would have been had Saturday gone ahead.
“We believed next Sunday would have been suitable as there were no fixtures in the UK.”
Chairman Paul Ackroyd added: “I’d like to thank Workington for being so supportive. They had planned a really big day with additional entertainment for everyone’s enjoyment, and in due course we will get the kind of event we all want.”
