
A man has suffered a life-threatening injury after a serious assault in Barrow.
The incident, which involved three men and a woman, happened on Cavendish Street at around 4am today, March 31.
A man in his 50s suffered a life-threatening head injury following the incident and remains in hospital in Preston.
A 24-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
A 16-year-old boy from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of attempted to assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.
Both remain in police custody.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
