The Cumberland County League Premier Division title was resolved with Maryport Athletic’s 3-1 home win over Whitehaven Miners Social.

But the Division One title still has to be decided although second-placed Keswick closed the gap on Cockermouth at the top with a big 10-1 win against Mirehouse.

Charlie Robson hit four goals with Bradley Fearns, Declan Robinson and Jamie Little all scoring two goals each. Mirehouse’s goal scorer was Cyran Corlett.

Elsewhere in Division One, Liam O’Pray was on the score sheet once again for Bransty Rangers as they drew 1-1 with Silloth. Kris Nichol was on target for Silloth.

In the Ken Glover Memorial Cup, goals from Harry Creighton (2) and Richard Hudson gave Aspatria a 3-0 victory against Gosforth.

In the Divisional Cup Group A, Wigton Harriers were 2-0 winners against Whitehaven AFC Reserves with a Finley Carruthers goal and the help of an own goal.

In the other Group A encounter, Kane Tinnion and Luke Graham were both on target for Cockermouth to give them a 2-0 win against Workington Reds Reserves.

Over in the Divisional Cup Group B, it was the second high scoring game of the day when Dearham United beat Whitehaven Miners Social Development 10-1.

A hat trick from Jack Brown led the way for Dearham with Kyle Adlard (2), Alfie Green (2), Dylan Robinson (2) and Ben Brown all hitting the back of the net. Miners Development goal came courtesy of Ryan O’Neil.
