A suspicious object found on a West Cumbrian beach prompted a call to the bomb squad.
A walker discovered the concerning object on Drigg beach on Sunday and alerted the Coastguard.
Upon arrival, the team assessed the object and sent photos to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team for further evaluation.
Because the object was above the high water line, Cumbria police were notified to oversee the scene until confirmation of its safety and subsequent removal could be obtained.
