Kendal Town’s top scorer James Bailey has extended his contract for the 2024/25 season.

Hot shot Bailey signed a contract early last season after making a fine transition from the Furness League to the North West Counties.

Bailey ended the season with 37 goals in all competitions and he had been the second top scorer in the NW Counties Premier Division.

His contract extension was announced at last night’s end-of-season presentations where he picked up the coveted players’ player award as well as the Fans Player of the Year.

Manager Jimmy Marshall said: “We are delighted that James has extended his contract. He’s had a phenomenal first season at this level and is a born goal-scorer.

“He’s fitted into the group really well and is a great lad on and off the field, I have no doubt he’ll go on to achieve the levels he hit last season… if not exceed them.”
