Former Barrow full-back and ex-Holker Old Boys manager Guy Heffernan has been appointed manager of Garstang.
Heffernan is a familiar name from around the North West Counties League having managed at Nelson, Maine Road and Holker.
As a player he started with Blackpool and went on to play at Barrow, Fleetwood and Lancaster.
A statement from the club read: “Garstang Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Guy Heffernan to the role of first team manager with immediate effect. Guy has played for multiple clubs at various levels.”
Chairman, Adrian Wilding, said: “Guy’s excellent coaching credentials and proven managerial experience at this level will help drive the club forward on the pitch for next season and beyond. Over the coming days Guy will finalise his coaching staff and a further announcement will be made in due course.”
Garstang just survived in First Division North last season while Holker Old Boys just missed out on the play-offs.
