Workington Town were beaten again at the Fibrus Community Stadium, going down 37-18 to title-chasing Keighley Cougars.
But against the joint leaders there was some consolation for Town in that they won the second-half 18-12 after they had trailed 25-0 at the break.
Indeed after the Cougars had scored four converted tries and a field goal in the first-half they were also first on the score-sheet on the resiumption to take their lead out to 31-0.
But Town battled away with lots of spirit and determination and scored on 50 minutes with a try from Tyler Walton which Carl Forber converted.

It stayed at 31-6 until the 68th minute when the two recent additions from Rochdale combined superbly. Joe Hartley made the break before sending Tommy Brierley in for the second Town try which Forber converted.
Th third try came a bit too late to have an impact on the game. There were only four minutes left when a kick from Forber was gathered by Zarrin Galeq who gave it back to Forber who scored and converted.

After such a spirited response it was a bit of an anti-climax when Keighley scored their sixth try in the last minute, and it was converted.

Oscar Thomas (2), Junior Sa’u (2), Ellis Robson and Lachlan Lanskey scored the Keighley tries with Jack Miller converting them all and adding a drop goal.
