
Four people have been issued with official warnings after intimidating and anti-social behaviour in Carlisle city centre.
Incidents have included assaults, drunk and disorderly behaviour and public order offences.
This has led to intimidating and anti-social behaviour which has caused issues for local landlords, business owners, residents and visitors, police said.
Cumbria police added: “Their behaviour is having a detrimental effect on the quality of life for our local community.”
The quartet have been issued with community protection warnings.
Two women, aged 43 and 38, and two men, aged 48 and 39, have been issued with the warnings.
It means they cannot:
- Be found drunk in a public place
- Use foul or abusive language in a public place or cause nuisance to members of the public
- Urinate/defecate in a public place
- Consume alcohol from an open container in the area defined by a map provided to the individual, unless within a licensed premises in that area.
The police added the people will be monitored and added: “If they are found breaching them in any way we will look to a Community Protection Notice which will enable us to deal with this behaviour in a more robust manner. “
