Kendal Town and Penrith both have home ties in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup when it gets underway on August 3.
There’s £1,125 to the winners at this stage with £375 for the losers and, along with Carlisle City, the Cumbrians will be hoping to make the preliminary round a fortnight later when all three would have home games.
On August 3 Kendal will host Guisborough while Penrith are at home to Pickering Town. Carlisle City are the only travellers as they head to Whickham.
In the preliminary round two weeks later, if they all win, City will host Dunstan; Kendal will entertain Newcastle Benfield or Knaresborough while Penrith would be at home to Crook Town or Marske.
Carlisle City are exempt until the first round proper of the FA Vase following their good run last season but the other two Cumbrian sides must start with away fixtures.
In the first qualifying round Penrith travel to Ilkley Town while Kendal will visit Tow Law, and in the second qualifying round they have mixed fortunes.
Penrith will be at home if they aster successful against either Thornaby or Padiham but Kendal would have to travel again to Birtley Town or Horden Community Welfare.ReplyReply allForward
