A man is reported to have pulled a knife on a cyclist in Carlisle.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened outside of McVities on Church Street, yesterday, July 8, at 4pm.
It was reported that a man got out of a dark hatchback car, pulled a knife from his clothing and confronted another man on a pushbike at the pedestrian crossing.
A 34-year-old man, of Wigton, was arrested on suspicion of using threating behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence, possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place and threatening a person with a sharply pointed article in a public place. He was released on bail.
Police are asking for any witnesses with mobile phone footage or dashcam to contact them.
