For the first time in a while Workington Town will not have to field a loan player in their team when they make the long trip to Cornwall.
Tommy Brierley is now a signed Workington player after completing his loan spell from Rochdale Hornets after not been allowed to play against them last week at the Fibrus Community Stadium.
Town won that one 14-12 and gave debuts to two new wingers in Billy Southward and Henry Hadfield, who both did well, which will pose a selection problem for coach Anthony Murray.
Brad Brennan, who also joined Town from Rochdale is a Town player until the end of the season and he is also included in the 21 strong squad which left Workington at 7am today.
Town squad: Billy Southward, Brad Brennan, Carl Forber, Chris Taylor, Connor Saunders, Ellis Archer, Grant Reid, Henry Hasfield, Jack Stephenson, Jake Bradley, Jadon Mossop, JJ Key, Jordan Burns, Kian McPherson, Liam McNicholas, Luke Charlton, Matty Henson, Pone Tongia, Tommy Brierley, Tyler Walton, Zarrin Galea.
This will be Cornwall’s first game this month after sitting out the previous two weeks. In their last game they ran North Wales Crusaders close before losing 16-10.
They will go into the game without suspended prop Matt Ross who was banned for this one game following a fiery clash with Keighley last month.
There will be one familiar name in the Cornish squad, former Town forward Dae Weetman.
