Workington Comets will be without Claus Vissing for the two matches this weekend against the Redcar Bears.
The Dane is unavailable for the fixture at Redcar tonight and at Northside tomorrow afternoon.
Team manager James Denham said: “Unfortunately, Claus isn’t able to ride due to personal reasons, and as much as we have tried we have not been granted a facility to cover for him for this weekend. So we would like to thank Ace Pijper for stepping in.”
Pijper, who rode initially for the Comets last season in the National Development League, is a Glasgow Tigers rider and their match at Edinburgh tonight was postponed early.
