A West Cumbrian firm will tidy up some Maryport flowerbeds ahead of this weekend’s Taste of the Sea food festival.
Stobbarts Limited, based in Workington, said it had been made aware that the beds on John Street were overgrown with weeds.
A spokesman said: “We have been in touch with the council and Stobbarts has offered to get rid of the weeds and buy some plants and low level shrubs/bushes from local supplier Maryport Aggregates.
“If anyone would like to help out we will be there weeding and planting tomorrow and Friday. Bring your gardening clobber and we will see everyone down there!”
