A jet skier who had got into difficulty off the West Cumbrian coast was rescued at the weekend.
Maryport Rescue said they were called out yesterday, Sunday August 11, at around 5.15pm to the jet skier, who was in trouble just off the coast at Flimby.
The team said: “As the team were just sorting out from the Taste Of The Sea weekend, crews were already on station and quickly launched the e.on Spirit of Maryport Lifeboat and proceeded to the area, quickly located the jet ski and its owner and towed it back to the slipway where it was met by colleagues from Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team.”
