The M6 northbound between junctions 36 and 38 was closed for much of yesterday after a fatal collision.
The incident, which happened at around 11am yesterday, Thursday, August 15, involved a single vehicle.
Last night, police said: “The northbound carriageway is likely to remain closed for some time while police and partners continue their work at the scene of the incident.”
The road has reopened and no further details about the incident have been released.
