
A man was punched and had his face stamped on during an early hours assault in Carlisle.
The incident happened on July 28 between 4.45am and 4.50am at the junction of Botchergate and Portland Place.
During the incident the victim, in his 20s, loss of consciousness and a cut to the face.
The offender is described as a white man, around 30 years old, 6ft and of an average build. He had short brown hair and beard and was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, blue/grey jeans and black shoes.
Police are looking for witnesses of the incident.
