
Experts hope Cumbria will begin to dry out after days of rain hammering down in much of Cumbria – but flood warnings and alerts remain in place.
It was expected to continue to rain until at least 3am today, Wednesday, August 28 and wind speeds are predicted to rise to around 45mph.
No weather warnings are in place for Cumbria, but a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for South West Scotland today.
A flood warning is in place for Keswick Campsite.
River and lake levels in the area are now falling and will continue to fall due to a forecast for drier weather conditions.
It is expected that the flood warning will remain in force until into the weekend.
Low lying land bordering the shores of Derwentwater and the frontage of the Keswick Camping and Caravan Club Site may still be affected.
Keswick Campsite released a video of the flooding it is experiencing, which has been seen over 20,000 times.

Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster
River and lake levels in the area are now falling and will continue to fall due to a forecast for drier weather conditions.
It is expected that this Flood Alert will remain in force until into the weekend.
Low lying land and roads near the Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster and other watercourses, from Grasmere to Grange-over-Sands including areas around Ambleside, Skelwith Bridge, Windermere, Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow, Cark and Cartmel may still be affected.
Rivers Cocker, Marron and Derwent
River and lake levels in the area are now falling and will continue to fall due to a forecast for drier weather conditions.
Low lying land and roads near the rivers Cocker, Marron and Derwent, are expected to be most affected, particularly around Lower Derwent from Bassenthwaite Lake to the coast at Workington. The Cocker from Crummock Water to Cockermouth. The River Marron from Ullock to its confluence with the Derwent near Bridgefoot may still be affected.
Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwentwater
River and lake levels in the area are now falling and will continue to fall due to a forecast for drier weather conditions.
It is expected that this Flood Alert will remain in force until into the weekend.
Low lying land and roads near the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water may still be affected.
