The latest in a series of historic steam-hauled trains visited Cumbria this weekend.
The Lakelander began its journey in the Midlands before calling at stations in Cheshire and Lancashire, travelled north via the West Coast Main Line to Carlisle where it arrived at lunchtime.
The service was steam hauled from Preston by a preserved locomotive.
The train left Carlisle at 3.30pm returning via the coastal route through Workington passing Sellafield and Ravenglass.
Passengers skirted Morecambe Bay through Grange-over-Sands and cross the Kent viaduct at Arnside before rejoining the main line at Carnforth.
