Penrith were beaten 2-1 last night at Guisborough but it was a good performance from the Cumbrians.
They were unfortunate in conceding a highly debatable penalty early in the game and were unfortunate to have Jonny Murray sent off late on.
Callum Martin had given Guisborough the lead from the penalty spot on ten minutes but Andy Murray-Jones scored a deserved equaliser nine minutes later.
Kurtis Howes restored the home lead after 72 minutes and Murray was sent-off five minutes later after a challenge on the Guisborough keeper which had looked a 50-50.
Tempers were frayed at the end and Penrith had Robbie Hebson red-carded after the final whistle.
Penrith are ninth in the table and on Saturday travel to pre-season title favourites Redcar Athletic who suffered their first defeat of the season last night, beaten 3-1 at mid-table North Shields.
