A remarkable game of football at Holker Street had a dramatic ending when Swindon Town snatched a 98th minute equaliser.
Former Carlisle United forward Dan Butterworth, with just about the last kick of an eventful contest, scored with a long-range effort from around 30 yards.
Barrow had no second goalkeeper on the bench so when Paul Farman was sent-off after 42 minutes defender Rory Feely went between the sticks – and was never really tested.
Barrow had gone in front on 35 minutes when Ged Garner scored with a clever chip which had keeper Jack Bycroft in two minds.
Seven minutes later Farman was shown red after being caught well out of his goal and when Gavin Kilkenny shipped him he stuck up an arm as a reflex action but everyone knew what was coming and he walked.
Swindon just couldn’t find anything serious in their locker to test Feely and they looked to have blown it when they were also reduced to ten men.
Harry Smith was sent-off on 65 minutes for violent conduct in a clash with home defender Theo Vassell and Swindon looked to be heading for an embarrassing defeat. They have not won a League game so far.
But they salvaged a point with virtually the last kick with Butterworth’s effort which had Feely at full stretch but he couldn’t reach it. A save would have put Barrow top of the League on goal difference.
