Barrow continued their excellent start to the season with a 2-1 win at Grimsby when all three goals came in the first-half.
The south Cumbrians are in the third automatic promotion place just a point behind the leaders Notts County.
This was their fourth win in six League Two games and rather surprisingly their only defeat was at Carlisle – who have only won that one game.
The Bluebirds went ahead after 13th minute when Sam Foley powered in a header from an accurate corner from Ben Jackson.
Another corner provided them with a second goal after 26 minutes when this time it was Theo Vassell who was at the near post to head home unchallenged.
Grimsby also scored with a header right on half-time when Kieran Green provided the finish to a very good cross by Dadi Svanthorsson.
A minute into the second half Grimsby thought they had levelled but Danny Rose was ruled offside after he had forced home a rebound effort.
Former Barrow defender Tyrell Warren denied Elliot Newby on the goal-line in the 73rd minute when the Bluebirds almost got in for a third.
Although Grimsby had some late pressure Barrow defended very solidly and saw it through for three more points.
