A world-leading cross-stitch and embroidery firm is inviting people to a race night to help raise funds for the Calvert Trust.
Bothy Threads, in Apastria, chose the trust as its charity of the year, with a £5,000 target as it celebrated its 30th anniversary.
From its specialist residential centre on the outskirts of Keswick, the Calvert Trust Lake District offer individuals
with a range of disabilities, families, and school groups, the chance to experience everything the Lake District has to
offer in a safe and supportive environment.
Bothy Threads said: “So far we have reached £3,327 of our £5,000 target by hosting fundraising events such as a car treasure hunt,
sponsored walks, bake sales, limited edition product releases and much more.”
As its final push for fundraising, it will be holding a race night and hog roast at the Greenhill Hotel, Wigton, on Saturday September 28.
The event night will include auctioning of ‘pigs’ for racing, sponsored hog races and a raffle and silent auction, lots of prizes to be won
and overall, an evening full of fun!
Tickets are £30 per person or a table of 10 is £275.
Bothy Threads added: “We would appreciate your help and hope you can donate gift vouchers, food and drink gifts, service promises, a cuddly
toy, a bottle of wine, or anything you believe would make a good raffle prize!”
