An injured walker had to be rescued after they fell while out on a coastal walk.
The lone walker had fallen on some rock armour in the Siddick area, near Workington, yesterday evening, Saturday September 22.
Injured, they found they had no mobile phone signal to raise the alarm for assistance and were unable to move themselves due to their injuries.
Having laid there for some time, a passer-by came across the casualty and was able to raise the alarm.
Following a 999 call to the Coastguard, Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team, Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team and the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust were asked to go to the scene.
The walker was stretchered across the rock armour and taken to hospital by ambulance.
