
Penrith went down 1-0 last night at title-chasing Boro Rangers but gave a positive performance against their high-flying hosts.
The Bonnyblues switched-off at a 15th minute set-piece and Kayden Robinson-Coley scored what proved to be the only goal of the game.
Penrith welcomed back a few familiar faces who have been missing through injury and are getting back up to speed after minutes on Saturday at Blyth Town.
It showed against Boro, too and there were spells in the game when Penrith had the home side defending grimly in the face of some well constructed counter attacks.
Penrith have a break now on Saturday from Northern League action when they take on Kirkoswald in the first round of the Fred Conway County Cup. It will be another opportunity to give game time for the key players who have been missing.
