The big guns were kept apart at the draw for the semi-final of the Cumbria County Cup.
Penrith and Kendal are the highest ranked teams in the county, playing their rugby in Regional 1 North West and both have away ties in the last four.
Holders Penrith make the short journey to local rivals Upper Eden while Kendal will travel to Kirkby Lonsdale.
Penrith beat Upper Eden in the final two years ago and defended the Cup last season against Carlisle.
The ties have to be played on or before January 25 2025.
