Flimby Vikings are to celebrate their welcome return to the Cumberland League with a special game this weekend.
The Vikings have completed their first season back in competitive rugby and it has been a huge success.
Consequently the Past v Present game is being revived and will be played on the back field at Flimby on Saturday with a 2pm kick-off.
Coach Ricky Morrison said: “It has brought the village together and after a good season we are going to stage this one last game.
“Old players, coaching staff and ex-youth players from the Vikings are having a run out against the current team.
“Over the years this will be the third time the sides have met and the past team has won the previous two.
“Dave Torley will be skippering the Past team this time with our captain Karl Hine leading our present team.
“I am sure it’s going to be a great showdown and has created a lot of interest in the village.”
