
A Cumbrian hospice charity are hosting a storytime session for families this half term.
Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, are inviting families to its magical storytime session at its bookshop in The Lanes Shopping Centre.
It will take place Wednesday, October 30 from 9.15am until 10.00 am and children aged three to five are welcome to come along can enjoy a morning of storytelling and fun. Older or younger siblings are also welcome to join the festivities.
The charity – which offers specialist care and support for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses across Cumbria – is running the session in a bid to introduce more children to the power of reading.
Organisers hope the event will be a positive experience for young book lovers. Magdalena, business development coordinator at the hospice said: “We’re excited to bring families together through the joy of storytelling.
“This session is a great opportunity for children to explore the world of books and imagination in a welcoming environment.”
With limited spaces, families are encouraged to pre-book early to ensure their place for free.
