Whitehaven have announced their latest signing from the community ranks as they build their squad for 2025.

He is 20-year-old loose forward from National Conference League side Seaton Rangers.

Nixon is a former England Community Lions player at youth level having represented the team at Under-16s and Under-17s level.

He made 15 appearances for Seaton in the National Conference League last season scoring a try and kicking two goals under Haven’s new assistant coach Neil Frazer, who is the head coach at Seaton.

Haven’s head coach Anthony Murray said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Ellis, whose another local player coming in from Seaton.

“Ellis is a fit lad who is dedicated and a fully committed player who I’m sure will play his best rugby given this opportunity in the pro game.

“He gives 100% in every game he plays and will give us everything he has in the middle of that pitch and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

The Whitehaven club has given their thanks to the Seaton club for their support to Ellis making the step up to the professional game.
