Luxury, eco friendly homes have been unveiled in north Cumbria.
Created by Wannop Developments, the estate in Longtown, near Carlisle, is on the banks of the River Esk.
The development includes 19 new-build homes on Waverley Road and six properties on Murray Close. Prices starting from £275,000.
Key sustainability features include air-source heat pumps, underfloor heating and integrated solar panels with added battery storage, which means homes can harness and store renewable energy.
Sustainable building materials, including specialist insulating concrete, also mean a high level of thermal insulation for the properties.
Wannop Developments claimed homeowners could see a reduction of between 50% and 80% on their energy bills thanks to the eco-friendly features.
Eddie Wannop, managing director of Wannop Developments, said: “Our homes showcase the highest standards in sustainable living. We’re so proud to have these here after two years in the making. We’ve had a strong focus on bringing the latest eco-friendly technology alongside modern and stylish designs.
“Homeowners will see savings on energy bills in the region of hundreds of pounds a year, as well as a big reduction in carbon emissions compared to standard properties.”
The Longtown development is being rolled out in two phases. A range of three and four-bedroom properties are now complete and available to move into before Christmas, with additional properties, including two-bedroom bungalows, coming soon in phase two.
