A motorcyclist attempted to flee from police in Carlisle yesterday.
Police said they attempted to stop a motorbike in Carlisle at around 6.44pm yesterday, November 3.
Cumbria Constabulary said: “The motorbike failed to stop for officers, and following a short pursuit was stopped and the rider detained. The actions of the officers prevented any further risks to the public.”
A 49-year-old man from Carlisle was taken to the city’s Cumberland Infirmary with leg injuries.
A road closure was in place on London Road. It has since reopened.
