A new CRFM breakfast show presenter has been announced.

Bekah Fowler, a former CFM presenter, will take over from Pete Moss on Monday, November 18.

CRFM said it marked a significant moment for the station, which operates as a not-for-profit organisation from the John Myers Studios at the Carlisle Enterprise Centre.

Pete Moss, the current host of the breakfast show, has decided to step down from his role to pursue a new venture in the city – he is opening a new bar.

Bekah said: “I’m so honoured to have been offered the breakfast show at CRFM. I’ve known Pete for about 20 years, and he is a hard act to follow – he’s
such a professional. The radio station is undoubtedly my happy place, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Programme director Darrell Thomas said: “We are delighted to welcome Bekah as host of our breakfast show. Bekah will be fantastic on the breakfast show as she is an early bird herself and will brighten up your day Monday to Friday on CRFM. I look forward to listening to the new features and competitions she will bring to entertain the listeners throughout the Carlisle area.”

Bekah, who lives near Wigton, has worked in the radio industry for almost 33 years and has two grown-up children and a 10-year-old daughter.

Pete will continue to present his local artists and bands show Cumbriana on Tuesday evenings and co-host the CRFM Top 40 Chart with Chloe Quinn.
