A Lake District ice rink has opened and has been a runaway success.
The 200sq m rink, which overlooks Ullswater, was launched with a performance by British Olympic figure skaters David and Stacey King.
It is at Another Place The Lake and is now open daily until January 4.
David and Stacey officially launched the rink on Monday with a spectacular routine. Eight-time senior British champions, Cumbria and Lancashire-born the Kings represented Great Britain in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.
Bookings for the rink have been very busy, the hotel said.
