Countdown is on for Carlisle Skills Fair

The countdown is on for the next Carlisle Skills Fair.

Hosted by former city MP John Stevenson, the event will take place on Thursday January 23 from 2pm to 6.30pm at Carlisle College.

Now in its 11th year, over 80 local employers and education, training and skills providers are set to attend.

Last year’s 10th anniversary skills fair saw a record number of employers and job seekers attending and the 2025 skills fair was looking even better, Mr Stevenson said.

John said: “The clock striking midnight on New Year’s Eve often turns thoughts to a fresh start and a time for change in the year ahead.

“For some, this may be the first step on a career path, with a training course or an apprenticeship programme.

“For others, it may be a change of workplace or a change of job and for some it may be the first step to returning to work following a career break.

“I would encourage anyone interested in new opportunities in our local area, to come along on the day and find out more.”
