Exciting future for Ullswater Community College

Welcome to Ullswater Community College!

With every new year comes an exciting chance to reflect on things, to share plans for the future and to set some new goals.

People who know us describe us as an exciting and vibrant school where students can enjoy a wide range of opportunities in an environment where great teaching results in great outcomes.

We’re a popular choice within Penrith and work hard to place ourselves at the heart of our wonderful community.

We are immensely proud of our students’ achievements and whilst we expect a lot from them, we believe that we have much to offer in return.

As a happy and caring school – (happy students achieve more than unhappy ones), our hard-working and talented staff continue to be truly child-centred.

Over recent years we’ve developed a truly aspirational culture that encourages all of our students to challenge themselves, naturally in the academic curriculum but also in every other sphere of a truly extensive enrichment programme.

Learning in a lively and outward-looking community with a range of academic, cultural, sporting and social experiences, our students are ready and able to face the demands and challenges, the choices and changes of life in the 21st century.

To the future of Ullswater Community College

Very soon we will hear more detail about the significant investment in our premises.

Our hope is that we will receive a new building that reflects our ambitions and aspirations for all the young people of Penrith – one that will benefit the whole community and provide a state-of-the-art facility that is a foundation for the future in the modern world.

Our resolution is simple – ‘Best in County’ in all we do.
