Workington Reds has announced a new signing.
Defender Charlie Barnes will join the West Cumbrian side from Annan Athletic.
The former Carlisle youngster had a season under Reds boss Mark Fell at Lancaster City before moving north of the border in the summer.
The versatile 23-year-old can play comfortably at centre half or right back.
Mark Fell said: “We nearly got Charlie in the summer, he actually played in one of our preseason games, but he chose to go back to Scotland where he’d been at Annan previously.
“This time it didn’t work out for him and we know we’re getting a really good player who has good NPL experience. Charlie needs to get back playing and enjoying his football.
“I know he’ll be a player that the supporters will enjoy watching, he’s great on the ball, quick and defends well one-on-one.”
