Brian Dawson has been appointed as first team coach for Workington Reds.
Former Reds striker Dawson is no stranger to the club, as he is currently head of operations for Reds in the community.
Dawson began his career as a semi-pro footballer both in the UK with Barrow, Workington and Kendal Town and also Stateside with the Wilmington Hammerheads of North Carolina.
He has extensive coaching experience, establishing Onside Soccer Coaching in 2004 and working for Carlisle United Football Club within their Academy system,
He has also worked in the US for Smart Soccer and Seacoast United. He will replace Craig Rutherford, who left the role late last year.
