Winner Simon McCall & runner-up Craig Devine

The Speed Competitions West Cumbria Super Series got underway on Saturday at Moor Row Club.

The series promises to be one of the biggest amateur darts competitions Cumbria has seen.

Simon McCall continued his run of good form on from Thursday night taking maximum points with a 4:1 victory in the final.

A great day of darts saw 45 180s hit from the 47-player field. With one competitor only being 10 years old, it was a good mix of youth and experienced senior players.

Quarter finals

  • Mark Sloan 4:1 Adam Blackburn
  • Simon McCall 4:1 Stuart Lacey
  • Jack Pollard 4:1 David Cunningham
  • Craig Devine 4:0 Tom Smith

Semi finals

  • Simon McCall 4:1 Mark Sloan
  • Craig Devine 4:2 Jack Pollard

Final

  • Simon McCall 4:1 Craig Devine

Event two opens for registration on Wednesday, February 12, at 12.30pm and will be played on March 15.

Further details will be posted by Whitehaven Marras & Arras on Facebook.

Organisers would like to thank Jacksons Timber Ltd for sponsoring event one and to the Moor Row Club bar staff for their hard work on a busy day.
