Borderway Finance has raised over £2,000 for People First.

The motor finance group, part of the Cumberland, chose the advocacy service as its charity partner for 2024 and held several events to raise a total of £2,116.

People First CEO David Blacklock said: “The partnership between People First and Borderway Finance has been incredibly impactful. Their outstanding fundraising efforts are a testament to their commitment to our shared goals and values of making a difference to those in our communities.

“With their support, we can continue to support individuals through their darkest times and empower them to live their lives the way they choose to. Borderway’s support has strengthened our mission, and we look forward to our continued relationship and seeing the lasting difference we can make together.”

Mike Deans, managing director of Borderway Finance, said: “I’m delighted at the way the Borderway team has worked together to support the People First charity.

“This is a truly amazing local organisation helping to drive change in our communities by providing support to those that need help to live their best lives.”

Jenny Strong, Borderway’s assistant sales manager and community champion, added: “The Borderway team have worked tirelessly throughout 2024 to raise funds for People First and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. From baking to running everyone has been involved and supported our year in activities.

“At a time when interest rates and the cost of living is going up our friends, family, customers, and professional contacts have been very generous. We couldn’t achieve what we have without everyone pulling together.

“We love fundraising for People First, it’s a charity that mirrors our own values and supporting the learners to live their best lives is important to us.

“I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings for our fundraising journey.”
