Broughton Red Rose rangers scoop well deserved victory

Today we welcomed Heworth Whites in the eagerly anticipated opening round of the U14 BARLA cup, writes Dave Fee.

In a game played in a great spirit that epitomised the ethos of rugby league, we saw our Red Rose Rangers coming away with a well-deserved 54-4 victory.

The lads blew some early first game of the season cobwebs away and produced a convincing performance in both defence and attack that proved to be too much for the away team.

Huge thanks to our opponents though, who didn’t make it as easy as the score line suggests and didn’t waiver in commitment until the final whistle.

We wish them well for their 2025 campaign.

Special thanks to everyone that turned out to support us, we hope the lads made it worthwhile with the rugby they played.

Last but not least we would like to say a massive thank you to the Brewery House for providing post match food and refreshments.

On to the next…
