The next phase of roadworks in Cockermouth have begun.
Contractors are in the town to upgrade the A5086, including road network repairs, drainage system replacement, traffic sign upgrades, and a refresh of road markings.
Crown Street is closed until March 12. This includes the Crown Street roundabout with access to Main Street from Gallowbarrow/Sullart Street.
The Level will be closed and have traffic lights from March 13 until March 25.
Gallowbarrow will be closed with two-way traffic lights at the Main Street roundabout on March 26 and March 27.
Full access will be available for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists throughout the work, Cumberland Council said.
Waste and recycling collections will proceed as usual, while updates about temporary bus stop relocations will be posted at affected stops. Passengers with bus route questions are encouraged to contact Stagecoach directly.
