Jimmy Marshall has left Kendal Town to take up the reins at Lancaster City.

Kendal Town released a statement today to say that Marshall had accepted the first team manager position at Lancaster City.

The club said: “Jimmy has played a key role in the club’s progression over the last three years and leaves with all of our best wishes.

Chairman Michael O’Neill added: “We’re absolutely devastated to lose Jimmy at this point in the season – and on the whole.

“While we wish Jimmy all the best at Lancaster City, we now need to concentrate on Kendal Town.

“I’ll be working with Niall Cowperthwaite and Matt Flynn on what the next few days are going to look like and will keep our fans updated.

“The rallying call now is to get behind the boys this Saturday. Win, and we keep the play-off dream alive.”

Gavin Clark and Lee Marshall, who also left the club and Kendal Town thanked them both.
