Workington AFC has announced that manager Mark Fell and his assistant Graham Lancashire will leave the club.
Workington Reds’ board issued a statement this afternoon.
It said: “Workington AFC can confirm that they have mutually agreed to part company with manager Mark Fell and his assistant Graham Lancashire.
“It has been a difficult decision for all parties to make and certainly not one anybody envisaged taking at this stage of the season.
“We’d like to place on record our thanks to Mark and Graham and their team for all their hard work during their time with the club and we wish them well in the future.
“The club’s absolute number one priority is maintaining our Step 3 status.”
Brian Dawson and Billy Redden will take training tonight, Tuesday April 15, and will oversee the final three games of the season as the club bids to secure the points it needs.
The board added that the club will start the process of appointing a new manager immediately.
